Troy Lilly WV Nature Photographer

Magical Elakala Waterfall
Troy Lilly an amature photographer from West Virginia is growing to become one of the most widely known nature photographers on the internet. Troy attributes his growth and success to the mission of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through nature photography.

With his faithful companion Rusty Lilly, Troy’s 8 year old son, he hikes throughout the forests and mountains in West Virginia. Rusty keeps his dad company and they enjoy precious father and son time when hiking through the forests. Rusty helps carry a lot of the equipment necessary for the photography as well as essentials for the camping that they do in the deep woods.

The father and son team have hiked into the Seneca Creek Canyon and traveled over 20 miles on foot in a matter of three days taking pictures while enjoying the wonderful beauty of the mountains. While on this adventure in particular they were priviledged enough to see a bear and some other spectacular sights such as the falls of Seneca which are a 10 mile hike from the forest road.

Troy and Rusty maintain and author the popular website http://www.ForestWander.com ForestWander Nature Photography has grown from a small number of visitors each month in late 2004 to well over 100,000 unique visitors each month in 2008. With a high page rank and continued growth, this nature photographer is doing what most other photographers will not do. They give their work away for free.

Troy and Rusty give their pictures away for free website content and other publications such as greeting cards, Christmas cards, Prayer cards, Gospel Tracts, Free Post Cards, and their photographs of old country churches have even been published on several music CD’s. All that the photographer asks for in return is a mention of their website and credit for their photography work.

No doubt this is a unique nature photography site, that makes some scratch their heads by giving the images away, that they so diligently hike and explore to find and shoot. Their website and growing knowledge of photography is sure to be headed in the right direction for success the internet by sharing content that is being distributed on more than 50,000 links throughout the internet at this time, and “It is still growing”, Troy states.

Troy says that they update their pictures each season as time permits and that he is currently working to distribute over 500 new beautiful pictures from the 2008 Spring and Summer season that have never been seen before on the internet and he says “These are the best yet!”.

We will be watching Troy and Rusty in the near future to see how their photography site does. Hopefully on our next release they will have tripled in popularity and will continue to share their wonderful pictures with the world.
