 Creek Fall Foliage Leaf Floating As I stood in the middle of the creek attempting to capture the essence of the fall foliage and creek scenery I noticed this small leaf floating by. My desire was to capture the rocks under the water, the leaf and the fall foliage in the background. Doing all this while standing on a rock about 10 inches wide must have been funny to watch! The colors are vibrant in this colorful late autumn scene at a local lake. It is quiet and peaceful as I survey the landscape for scenery to frame and capture. One thing I try for with a scene like this is to wait until the water is calm to give a peaceful reflection of the colorful foliage. This hiking trail is on top of the highest mountain peak east of the Mississippi river. The high mountain fog is drifting through the trees in the middle of the day. Notice how the tops of the mountains are showing autumn color while the lower portions are still green. Not often this is captured in a single image. autumn color, changing, wv mountains,  Frigid Ice Cave Rocks In a small little rock crevasse a rock cave can be imagined with icicles surrounding the opening. The colorful minerals of the Blackwater river give the rocks the orangish colors. This was taken during an extremely arctic blast when the temperatures only reached about 5 degrees throughout the day. Just after a winter snow storm the white winter background enhances the photo composition of this old fashioned pristine gospel church. Background, Country Church, Creek, Snow, white, Winter,  Macro Spider Flowers A very small spider hiding on these flowers caught my eye as we were walking through the woods. If you look closely you will see it has 4 eyes on top and I would imagine 4 eyes on the bottom. Eyes, Flowers, macro, Spider,  Yellow Fall Foliage Trees Looking through the trees in the forest the yellow fall colors are a wonderful display of natures beauty. |  Crabtree Waterfalls One of the most scenic waterfalls found along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. The Crabtree Falls are a beautiful sight to behold after a moderate hike down the hiking trail to see these picturesque waterfalls. You may be able to tell that the day light was growing dim in the evening hours when we took this picture. But never the less this is one of the most vicious looking insects I have ever seen. Especially when magnified at a macro level. Wondering what that is beneath it? It is a moth it has captured and eating. This insect stayed perfectly still as long as I was taking pictures of it. Then when I moved away it fly off. Then the name for ForestWander Nature Photography was penned. Troy became a born again Christian many years ago and has dedicated many years to sharing the Gospel message through God's creation in computer desktop wallpaper pictures. The scripture from Psalm 19 tells that "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge".
