Fall Hiking at Seneca Creek West Virginia

If you are looking for a wonderful place to enjoy the Autumn scenery the Seneca Creek Wilderness has some of the most wonderful fall foliage you can find.

The Seneca Creek Trail is an amazing place to visit. It is like a modern day eden.

The streams are filled with trout and other wildlife abounds throughout the forest in this area. The trail is well marked laso and goes for several miles through the wilderness.

My son and I hiked this trail from the start to the end and back again in one day. It was about a 12 mile hike. To say the least we were wore out at the end of the day. We were so glad to see our car!

When you go into this canyon you do not realize that you are going downhill. But belive me you do realize it when you come back out.

We took several pictures this day and were hooked on coming here. We came back in the Spring of 2008 and camped for three days, and we plan to return again from the other end that is much less traveled.
