Many colors on the horizon of this view of the mountain skies. Down below the valleys are covered in an early morning fog before the sunrise burns the fog away. This is an amazing view from high upon one of the most majestic mountains in the Allegheny mountain range.

A scenic view of the mountains from a lake in the mountains. This lake is probably one of the highest lakes in elevation around this area. It is called summit lake and is just a few miles from the highland scenic highway. The hills and mountains look beautiful from this perspective as it is unlikely that they have been photographed from this particular area before.

High atop Spruce Knob the highest point in West Virginia during an early morning sunrise. This is one of the most beautiful times of the year when the colors of the sky show many variations in tint and hue. This is due to the angle of the sunlight entering the earths atmosphere. There is nothing like watching the sun rise from up on this mountain. The view is spectacular.

Wonderful Autumn Sky Mountain View high above the Monongahela Forest from Spruce Knob. This is the highest point in West Virginia. This image was taken early on an Autumn morning from the observation tower opposite from the sunrise. The sun had just began to peek out from the horizon.
