A pretty forest creek scene in early spring. This nature picture was taken in the Shenandoah mountains just off of skyline drive. A nice place to get away and enjoy the sites of the forest.

Water pours over the rocks as it rushes down this mountain in the Shenandoah forest. Deep in dark hollow falls gorge you can find these beautiful creek waterfalls. There is little growing here yet this spring but soon the forest will abound with new life.

Down in the forest trail below Shenandoah’s Skyline drive are some beautiful waterfalls called Dark Hollow Falls. These waterfalls are just about a half mile hike down into the valley. Me and all three of my kids hiked down here in just a little while. The hike back up is not as easy but still not too bad. The falls are beautiful and the shade from either side makes log exposure waterfall pictures easy.
