One of the most scenic waterfalls found along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. The Crabtree Falls are a beautiful sight to behold after a moderate hike down the hiking trail to see these picturesque waterfalls. You may be able to tell that the day light was growing dim in the evening hours when we took this picture. This made the long exposure optimal.

A close up photo of the first water falls at twinn falls state park in West Virginia. These falls are not very high, maybe around 20 feet or so. But they are scenic especially when the water is flowing as full as it is today.

As we are driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway we happen across this beautiful scenic country farm. The early morning light gives an opportune moment for us to capture a few shots of this wonderful scenic Blue Ridge Mountain View.

Autumn Mountain Foliage along the Highland Scenic Highway. Overcast days are the best time for fall foliage photography. The elevation on this highway is around 5000 feet above sea level and is a beautiful place to drive in the autumn season.

Waterfalls cascade across the rocks in this landscape picture on a rainy summer day. Standing below these beautiful waterfalls in such a scenic location, I cannot help but weather the rain and try to get the best photo of these waterfalls possible.

During a winter snow storm we hiked down into the New River Gorge. All along the mountains sides just above the New River are creeks and runs that pour down these mountain sides. One of these creeks is Keenys Creek. This is one of the most scenic and unknown areas of the New River, and the waterfalls along this creek are astounding. This particular waterfall cannot even be seen from the ridge top above but you must climb down into the ravine. This is one of our favorites.

A scenic view of the mountains from a lake in the mountains. This lake is probably one of the highest lakes in elevation around this area. It is called summit lake and is just a few miles from the highland scenic highway. The hills and mountains look beautiful from this perspective as it is unlikely that they have been photographed from this particular area before.

Soft accents during a heavy wet winter snow storm give a surreal effect to this scenic waterfall picture. Here, I am standing on the side of a steep cliff, hill in order to capture this image. If you notice the waterfalls keep going and going at the top of the rocks. This is a beautiful and peaceful area.

Hiking out a winter mountain trail after a heavy wet winter snow storm. This is a trail near the highland scenic highway in West Virginia. Rusty and I hiked about two miles out here, it was really beautiful and the snow was about 30 inches or deeper in many places. The sun shining on these trees gave a nice light for a scenic nature picture during our hike.
