In a small little rock crevasse a rock cave can be imagined with icicles surrounding the opening. The colorful minerals of the Blackwater river give the rocks the orangish colors. This was taken during an extremely arctic blast when the temperatures only reached about 5 degrees throughout the day. Even in the smallest of places the Lord’s creation and beauty is displayed.

An amazing wintry waterfall scene at Elakala waterfalls. This is the first time I have been here in the winter time. It is bitterly cold around 5 degrees. Every time I touch the metal on my tripod my hand sticks to it instantly. Although this shot is a little blurry from the blowing snow it still turned out rather well I think. Just the scene itself displays the bitter sweet beauty of the Lord’s creation even in the winter.

As evening approaches the light and shading is perfect for waterfall photography in this Blue Ridge Mountain gorge. The polarized lens filter allows for the rocks to show from under the water and makes the image more interesting.

Waterfalls cascade across the rocks in this landscape picture on a rainy summer day. Standing below these beautiful waterfalls in such a scenic location, I cannot help but weather the rain and try to get the best photo of these waterfalls possible.

In the low light of the evening on a rainy spring day. This is a forest Trillium flower that was found near some large rocks and moss in the forest.

Water pours over the rocks as it rushes down this mountain in the Shenandoah forest. Deep in dark hollow falls gorge you can find these beautiful creek waterfalls. There is little growing here yet this spring but soon the forest will abound with new life.

Water rushes through the rocks in the Twin Waterfalls Creek that Flows by, it is heading for a 30 feet drop at one of the twin falls.

A pretty creek stream that cascades down a mountain in the Shenandoah Forest. The water pours through these rocks and crevasses as it is rushing to the bottom of the mountain. This was taken in early spring prior to greenery and leaves coming upon the trees.
