In the early morning the lighting is perfect for photography not too bright and not too dim. The colors are vibrant in this colorful late autumn scene at a local lake. It is quiet and peaceful as I survey the landscape for scenery to frame and capture. One thing I try for with a scene like this is to wait until the water is calm to give a peaceful reflection of the colorful foliage.

The beautiful clear water from these mountain stream waterfalls allows the rocks to be seen underneath the surface. The gorgeous landscape scenery all around thrills the hearts of the hikers and fall foliage sight seers passing by these waterfalls.

Late in the evening and with several miles to go uphill from the White Oak Gorge we are enjoying the beauty of this area. The water is wonderfully clear and the sounds of the waterfalls are very tranquil. Combine this with the surrounding fall foliage and landscape this is a literal paradise.

A scenic country farm late in the evening after an afternoon of steamy summer rain showers. Beautiful wild flowers blossom in front of an old country barbed wire fence. In the distance cattle graze in the field on the moist green grass. A few scenic barns in the distance give a lovable down home country feel to the landscape.

A very cold winter scene of a frozen lake in West Virginia. The trees and landscape are perfectly preserved after many days of snow fall. There are no animal or human tracks that have disturbed the fresh snow. This place is very quiet and there is not even the sound of a bird anywhere. Almost as if everything here is frozen in time.
