Walking along a Rhododendron trail in the early morning cool of the day. The flowers surrounding this trail are wonderful and the cool morning mist makes this a pleasant stroll through the forest.

Hiking down to some waterfalls, along the way we see Catawba Rhododendron flowers that line the trail. These flowers make the trail seem like a paradise in the early morning dew before the sun rises. These are one of my favorite flowers, and this time of year they line the mountain sides and trails.

High atop Spruce Knob the highest point in West Virginia during an early morning sunrise. This is one of the most beautiful times of the year when the colors of the sky show many variations in tint and hue. This is due to the angle of the sunlight entering the earths atmosphere. There is nothing like watching the sun rise from up on this mountain. The view is spectacular.

Snow White Country Church in the early morning in the mountains. Surrounded by winter country scenery and snow covered hills this is a beautiful site to behold.

As we tarry along this country road the song comes to mind ”Country Roads Take me Home”. Here we are at a country road just below Spruce Knob Mountain. We have stayed the night up on the mountain so that we could get some early morning sunrise pictures. I had not counted on getting a beautiful autumn winding road country scene like this.
