Easter Lily

The heart of a beautiful Easter Lily flower. These flowers are shaped like a trumpet and are known for their large white blooms. The Floral name for these wonderful flowers are Lilium longiflorum. These are actually from Japan originally and have migrated to the Americas. These are very fragrant flowers. They remind me of a scripture from the Book of Isaiah ”Cry aloud and spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet and show my people their transgressions”.

Whitetail Buck Running Snow

Beautiful whitetail buck deer running in the snow, during a winter snow storm. This deer has a perfect rack of antlers and is certainly alert. You can tell this because his tail is sticking straight up. This would make a great piece of wall art for a den or office.

Water rushes down this rugged ravine in the Spring time near Shenandoah State Park in Virginia. These are part of the dark hollow falls waterfalls run that has a nice hiking trail. This area is perfect for waterfall photography because of the natural shading.

Cherry Trees Night Washington Monument

Nigh time at the tidal basin in Washington DC during the Cherry Blossom Festival. You can see a helicopter coming across the area on the right side of the photo this gives you an idea of how long this exposure was in order to see all of this at night. Although you cannot see the trees very well it amazes me that the ambient light from the city makes it possible for the camera to see these trees.

A Flowering Magnolia Tree in full bloom at Arlington National Cemetery. Although it is sad and grieves many hearts that so many brave men and women have given their lives for our freedom, nevertheless it is a beautiful sight to see. America – “The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave!”

A large Field of Yellow Daffodils. There must be several hundred daffodil flowers in the field. If you look closely you can see one small group of white daffodils hiding amongst all of the yellow flowers.
