Grey and white bobcat crawls out of a den after a heavy snow storm. What a beautiful creature. These wild cats resemble a lynx, although not as tall they are very agile in trees and excellent hunters of small prey.

Looking down from the mountains Skyline drive into the Shenandoah Valley below. High up above the towns and homes in the valley you can see for miles and miles up here. In the early Spring this tree seems as though it is dead. However, the limbs may very well be covered with leaves in the near coming weeks of Spring.

It is almost past the season for these spring flowers to bloom and it will be an entire year before we see them again. I love these flowers because they are the first to show after the long dead winter and to me they signify that the resurrection is coming soon!
