As the sun is setting across this country field in West Virginia, the sunlight brings the storm clouds to life. This is one of my favorite pictures as it has many areas of interest. The sky displays heavenly clouds, the barns and farm buildings add an area of wonder and intrigue, while the flowers and field give a feeling of peace and comfort. As we look across the valley to the mountaintop on the other side. We can see that the fall colors are changing on the tops of the mountains. However, further down the mountain the tree leaves are still green. This is unique for the fall foliage color change.

Out a hiking trail in Canaan Valley West Virginia a place called table rock offers a spectacular view of the Blackwater River Gorge. As we look around the beautiful mountains we can see that the tops of the mountains have changed colors already while the lower elevations in the mountains still remain green. This is a uniquely interesting variation in the autumn trees color.

Early in the morning from the top of Cheat Mountain in West Virginia. The early morning sunrise was beautiful this day and we are excited to go take some fall foliage pictures.

An Old Country Church just outside of Babcock State Park. This is the community church in Clifftop, WV. A traditional old fashioned country church.

Spring in WV at the Glade Creek Gristmill in Babcock State Park, WV. The Spring Rhododendron Flowers are in full bloom. I took this image at a high aperture in order to get everything as sharp as possible with one image.

After we made it up to Summit Lake in Nicholas county West Virginia after a major snow storm, we found an ice fisherman out on the lake. we asked if it was safe and he said the ice is 1 foot thick with another 2 feet of snow on top. This was an amazingly beautiful site to behold. We had never stood in the middle of a froze lake before, so this was a unique experience.

A West Virginia Mountain Cougar in the winter snow. This Mountain Lion is from the West Virginia Wildlife center just outside Buckhannon WV at French Creek. I did some touch up on the background to give more realism to this wildlife scene.
