The DV Sportster--which supports the FlowPod, UltraLite, GlideCam, and Steadicam Jr. handheld stabilizers--is built around a single articulated arm with eight sealed, precision bearings and a Flowtech spring system. The articulated arm is not only strong and smooth, but also remarkably quiet. The Sportster support vest, meanwhile, consists of four adjustable buckles, an adjustable Velcro belt, and a height-adjustable breastplate. The breastplate and abdominal support system combine to reinforce your posture and distribute weight throughout your torso, so your body won't give in during long shoots. Best of all, the DV Sportster doesn't require any tools for assembly or operation--just remove it from the custom carrying case and snap it together. The stabilizing arm measures 17 inches long and weighs 2.15 pounds, while the case measures 20 by 10 by 9 inches (W x H x D).
