Autumn Maple leaves still on the tree late in the fall season. The maple trees display some of the most beautiful fall colors displayed throughout the forests.

In the early morning the lighting is perfect for photography not too bright and not too dim. The colors are vibrant in this colorful late autumn scene at a local lake. It is quiet and peaceful as I survey the landscape for scenery to frame and capture. One thing I try for with a scene like this is to wait until the water is calm to give a peaceful reflection of the colorful foliage.

At the bottom of the White Oak Canyon we found some of the most beautiful waterfalls we have ever seen just above these forest creeks. Here there are two mountain streams which meet together in the forest. The autumn foliage in the lower part of the gorge is still very vibrantly colored.

Now most of the leaves have fallen from the trees, and although there are not many colorful scenes in the trees, there are still beautiful colors found in and on top of the water.

Below a one hundred feet high waterfall these colorful autumn leaves were found upon the forest floor. I thought I would arrange them on a rock in a way to capture the waterfall and creek at the same time. The various shades and colors of these leaves depict the forest that surrounds the beautiful waterfall.

Sometimes the Lord’s magnificent art is displayed in some of the smallest details. Imagine how small we seem in His sight yet, we were created in His image and He knows the very hairs on our head.

This is a collage of fall foliage leaves and various bushes that grow in the autumn season, combined with flowers that are blooming in late summer. If you look there is beauty all around we just need to simply look for the beautiful things of autumn.
