Twinn Pink Flowers

Two pink flowers side by side with macro details in the full size image. What is great about this and other macro images on ForestWander are the flowers are full frame images. So the details are in the full frame 100 percent image. the scaled own image does not reveal the details and it must be view at 100% to see macro details.

Summer Flower

A colorful summer flower glistening in the summer sun. Bright pink outer pedals and a yellow center pistil create a wonderful artistic display. The bokeh from the far right background adds an additional artistic touch.

Macro Bee Gathering Pollen Yellow Flower

A busy bee gathering pollen on some yellow flowers in a country field. This guys was really buzzing around and it was tough to get a shot of him while still enough. Thankfully there was plenty of sunlight in order to allow a fast exposure.

Amazing Flower Blossom Macro

An amazing flower blossom macro photo. The center of the flower is where the focal point is with this image. The pedals are not as in focus as the very center of the blossom. The center is very unique and colorful showing many interesting characteristics in the heart of the flower.

Hippie Flower

A psychedelic hippie flower. This flower is naturally this color and looks like a tye died t-shirt. This reminds me of the flowers from King Solomon’s temple. 1 Kings Chapter 6 Vs 35: ”And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work”. This was the best out of several exposures, the details are very sharp even at 100% image size. This would make a nice flower for a spring floral design from the 70’s.

Bee Pollen Macro

Macro photo of a honey bee covered in pollen. Walking through a country field in West Virginia during early summer late spring and am surrounded by bees gathering pollen.

Hungry Ant and the Dandelion

Although dandelions are a menace when they are yellow they are quite pretty. This dandelion flower is in full vigor and it is an opportune time for a picture. But as I begin to zoom in i realize that this flower has become the feat of an ant who is crawling all around the flower evidently foraging upon the sweet essence of the flower.

Twinn 4 O'clock Flowers Macro

These little flowers are called four o’clocks. They are fairly small little flowers yet they look very life size in this picture. This is actually one exposure of the foreground flower and then another exposure of the background flower combined into one image. I hope you like it.

Clover Flower Macro

This is my very first try with extension tubes combined with a 24-105mm F4 Canon lens. The lens is extended to 105mm and I used a 36mm extension tube for the macro effect. I must say I am surprised how well these tubes work. Although I would like it if my lens were an F 2.8 instead of an F4. Notice the little insect on this clover flower. Yes, this is a clover flower which is smaller in diameter than a dime.

Cherry Trees Evening dc Tidal Basin

Cherry trees frame the Washington DC tidal basin with the Jefferson Memorial in the background. evening is approaching quickly so the photo exposure must be set to a longer period of time. The Cherry Trees are beautiful when in bloom during the spring.
