Yellow Cone Flower Macro

A Yellow Spring Cone Flower. Echinacea is another name for this flower. Some species of these flowers are known for their medicinal purposes. But it is root and herb extracts which are much different in composition which have been theorized to provide immunity boost.

Daffodil Easter Bell Flowers

Daffodils are also called Easter Bells in some European cultures. This is a beautiful large field of Easter Bell daffodils. It is almost past the season for these spring flowers to bloom and it will be an entire year before we see them again. I love these flowers because they are the first to show after the long dead winter and to me they signify that the resurrection is coming soon!

Easter Lily

The heart of a beautiful Easter Lily flower. These flowers are shaped like a trumpet and are known for their large white blooms. The Floral name for these wonderful flowers are Lilium longiflorum. These are actually from Japan originally and have migrated to the Americas. These are very fragrant flowers. They remind me of a scripture from the Book of Isaiah ”Cry aloud and spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet and show my people their transgressions”.

Whitetail Buck Running Snow

Beautiful whitetail buck deer running in the snow, during a winter snow storm. This deer has a perfect rack of antlers and is certainly alert. You can tell this because his tail is sticking straight up. This would make a great piece of wall art for a den or office.

Rugged Ravine Springtime

Water rushes down this rugged ravine in the Spring time near Shenandoah State Park in Virginia. These are part of the dark hollow falls waterfalls run that has a nice hiking trail. This area is perfect for waterfall photography because of the natural shading.

Apple Blossom flowers on a large apple tree. the fragrance that fills the air smells like perfume. The smell of apple blossom flowers is one of the nicest smells that I have ever smelled from a tree.

Cherry Trees Night Washington Monument

Nigh time at the tidal basin in Washington DC during the Cherry Blossom Festival. You can see a helicopter coming across the area on the right side of the photo this gives you an idea of how long this exposure was in order to see all of this at night. Although you cannot see the trees very well it amazes me that the ambient light from the city makes it possible for the camera to see these trees.

Flowering Magnolia Tree Arlington Cemetery

A Flowering Magnolia Tree in full bloom at Arlington National Cemetery. Although it is sad and grieves many hearts that so many brave men and women have given their lives for our freedom, nevertheless it is a beautiful sight to see. America – “The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave!”
