Two large Elk Bulls fighting with their antlers. I did not want to get in their way so I kept my distance. These animals are huge and could do some major damage to even the biggest man. Evidently they are sparing to win the dominance in their herd.

Many colors on the horizon of this view of the mountain skies. Down below the valleys are covered in an early morning fog before the sunrise burns the fog away. This is an amazing view from high upon one of the most majestic mountains in the Allegheny mountain range.

A scenic view of the mountains from a lake in the mountains. This lake is probably one of the highest lakes in elevation around this area. It is called summit lake and is just a few miles from the highland scenic highway. The hills and mountains look beautiful from this perspective as it is unlikely that they have been photographed from this particular area before.

Waterfall deep in a ravine which pours into the New River Gorge in West Virginia. This creek has actually been used for extreme kayaking. It would certainly take a daring and adventurous heart to Kayak down this rugged creek considering the jagged rock edges and steep drops over the waterfalls.

High atop Spruce Knob the highest point in West Virginia during an early morning sunrise. This is one of the most beautiful times of the year when the colors of the sky show many variations in tint and hue. This is due to the angle of the sunlight entering the earths atmosphere. There is nothing like watching the sun rise from up on this mountain. The view is spectacular.

Bull elk right side profile stance with a large set of antlers. These animals weigh several hundred pounds and could easily kill a human if provoked. Often when they spare over dominance in the herd weaker Elk bulls can succumb to injury or even death by the larger bulls.

A beautiful white flower with a black background. The brightly colored white flower stands out with such a contrasted black background. The details of this white flower are sharp and the colors are vivid. This was taken at a local greenhouse where they have many flowers which can be photographed.
